What if our family has two or more dogs?

We are happy to run, hike or walk with up to two dogs from the same family at the same time - all for the price of one! However, we will charge an additional $5 fee for a third dog.

In order for the pups to get the greatest benefits from the run/walk, we want no more than three dogs at one time.

Can you pet sit overnight?

Yes! Our professional pet sitters provide overnights stay services for a full 12 hour session. [8pm - 8am] We send updated time stampes reports with photos of your pets. While on the job we ensure a safe and clean environment for your pets.

During our initial"Meet and Greet" we love to discuss your pets daily/night routine. We brainstorm on a to-do check list that includes various timely tasks. During our time spent with your pets at your home we include (feeding , water plants, bring in mail/packages, scoop poop, administer medications, security checks, sanitizing, etc.)

Do you offer discounts?

Yes! If you book multiple services then you will receive a discount. Also, we offer a 10% discount for senior citizens (65+) and active military members.

Do you offer your services in cities outside of Boise?

Yes! We currently serve Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Nampa and Caldwell. We charge for mileage (.84 cents per/mile) if you are outside our 10 mile radius. [Downtown Boise]

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept credit cards, cash, Venmo, PayPal. Our bookkeeper sends out weekly/monthly invoices to our clients via email. All services scheduled must be paid in full in advance.

Can your dog walkers/runners accept tips?

Of course, but we don't expect it! We appreciate client loyalty over anything else. The invoices we provide gives you the option to pay a % gratuity.

Can you administer medication to my pet?

We sure can! However, we do not administer intravenous medication.

Can you bathe my dog?

Yes! We would be happy to make your dog look all shiny and new! We highly recommend bathing your dogs after our exercise sessions. This ensures when they return home they are all cleaned up smelling fresh for their owner.

During the bath we also do a full body inspection looking for cheat grass, bugs, injuries, allergic reactions, etc. A 15 minute in-home bath session costs $20

How do I know if my dog is in good enough shape to exercise?

If your dog has been sedentary for a while, or it has been at least six months since the last health checkup, we recommend consulting with your veterinarian before starting your dog on a strenuous exercise program.

Can you help do our dirty work and scoop poop?

Absolutely! We'll provide a quick price estimate factoring size of the yard. We scoop dog poop, clean out litter boxes for the cats and safely dispose the waste. Helping your pets maintain a healthy clean environment is crucial for their well-being.

Another dirty job we offer is expressing anal glands.

When it comes to caring for our dogs, many pet parents understand the importance of traditional grooming, nutrition and exercise, but anal gland expression...well that topic sometimes comes as a surprise.

Impacted anal glands can be a painful experience for a dog, and it's important for dog parents to recognize the signs and symptoms and know what to do should the problem occur.

When are you available to run my dog?

Our pet services are available 24/7!

Additional charge for weekend appointments (Saturday - Sunday) of $7 per scheduled service.

Federal Holidays have an additional $15.00 per/day service charge.

Do you have a referral program?

Yes – we love referrals! If you refer us to someone and they mention your name when they book their service, you will receive one (1) 30-minute service of your choice for FREE!

What is your cancellation policy?

We realize your plans may change so if you need to cancel a service, please give us 24 hours’ notice to avoid a charge. If you cancel less than 24 hours before the scheduled service then you will be charged the full service amount.

Do you need proof of my pet's vaccinations?

We need written verification that your dogs are up to date on all their shots! Please provide all vet documents and vaccine history of your pup. Without the Vet paperwork we must decline services. Our staff and client's safety comes first.

For indoor/outdoor cats they must be current with their feline rabies vaccination. As a responsible pet parent your cats should have their rabies vaccine every 3 years.

I would like to schedule an in-home activity service for my dog. How will you get into my house?

Your home’s security is of the utmost importance to us! We ask that you provide us with either a key to your home or a garage access code. The key and garage access code will be stored in our safe when not in use.

Can you buy dog food and treats for my dog?

Yes! We charge $30 per hour plus the cost of the goods purchased. You will receive a detailed invoice for this service.

Is there paperwork that I need to fill out?

After our free initial consultation, you will receive an emailed invitation from Zen Pet Care Services. Once accepted we recommend creating your client/pet profiles on our secured website

The paperless forms need to be completed to your best ability. You may skip any agreements that don't pertain to you or your pets.

Example; (pet sitting your cats does not require you to sign a Dog Walking Agreement)

Forms: Dog Walking Service Agreement, Client information Form, Pet Information Form, Veterinarian Release Form, and (Optional) Off-Leash Dog Park Release Form.
